#MakeRacismHistory Festival @ Sofia

Let’s #MakeRacismHistory!

Multi Kulti Collective joins the European Network Against Racism (ENAR)’s pan-European #MakeRacismHistory Festival. It is organized in 12 European cities on the occasion of ENAR’s 25th birthday.

The aim of the event is to raise awareness on the topic of racism which is not much and not enough spoken of in Bulgarian society. We would like to discuss the harmful effects racism has in our social environment (society, work, university, school, personal life, etc.) and the fact that it undermines our European values and democratic order. The event will present the main findings of the research paper Transposition and implementation of the EU anti-racism legal framework in Bulgaria. In addition, we would like to hear the personal perspectives of people who have suffered from racism and shed light on their struggles and challenges, as well as the effect it has on their lives and mental health. Finally, we would like to seek solutions together with the audience and debate in small groups about what can we do as organizations, collectives and activists. The evening will finish with a tasty Multi Kulti catering from our migrant and refugee chefs.
The event will be held in English.

When: 10 October 2023, 18:00
Where: Salted Cafe Sofia, 38 Bratya Miladinovi Str.

The event is offered free of charge, however, registration is compulsory - https://forms.gle/A3wQrEET48mpRcVj6
The event is organized by Multi Kulti Collective with the support of the European Network Against Racism (ENAR).

ENAR is the only pan-European anti-racism network that combines advocacy for racial equality and facilitating cooperation among civil society anti-racism actors in Europe. The organisation was set up in 1998 by grassroots activists on a mission to achieve legal changes at European level and make decisive progress towards racial equality in all EU Member States.
