Sicilian cooking class
01 юли 2019 г.
Even Italians admit that Sicily is a gastronomy heaven. Have you been there? Their cuisine is just perfect! Some dishes might sound a bit weird – fried rice balls, ice cream sandwiches – but they are all delicious!
If you don't believe us, better ask Giuseppe Di Benedetto - a proud Sicilian who has been living in Sofia in the last 4 years. He is the founder of the biggest Facebook group for foreigners, currently 23,000+ members - Foreigners in Sofia & Friends as well as Open Sofia Foundation. Giuseppe is also a very social and passionate home cook eager to share not only the culinary of his homeland but also its culture and history. What is so special about Sicily? Do they have their own language? What is the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies? What does the image on their flag and coat of arms mean? How does it feel to live by Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe?
While discussing these and a lot more, Giuseppe is going to teach us how to make three of the most iconic Sicilian dishes. You already see one on the cover photo - do you recognize it? For the rest, please follow the event updates in the following days, or even better, make sure to book your spot. As usual, in the Multi Kulti Center it's going to be delicious, cosy and fun!!
The ticket includes preparation of the 3-course menu, coffee, tea, water and wine from Vino Orenda Wine Shop.
Early bird ticket before 2 July - 50 leva
Normal ticket after 2 July - 60 leva
